We follow a holistic approach that emphasizes the development of the whole person. Our programs are designed to educate, expose, engage, and express:
Founded by Jacqueline Sanders, TruVision Productions has grown significantly since our inception, thanks to the support and collaboration of our community. We began with a dedicated all-volunteer staff and in-kind space provided by the city of Country Club Hills, Illinois. Our initial programs were launched in partnership with local Park Districts and Middle Schools.
As we saw qualitative and quantitative progress, we expanded our services to include afterschool and summer programs throughout Chicago’s South Suburbs. We have also formed partnerships with other nonprofit organizations, such as Project Osmosis, to further our reach and impact.
Today, TruVision Productions is a well-established organization known for recruiting, developing, and supporting youth with demonstrated abilities and skills in the applied arts. We offer a wide range of art instruction, including sketching, painting, drawing, graphic design, robotics, and media sessions with sound engineering, TV camera operation, and editing.
We serve at-risk youth aged 11 to 18 from culturally diverse backgrounds in Chicago and the South Suburbs. Our programming aims to steer youth away from negative influences and towards a path of self-confidence, teamwork, job readiness, and resilience.
Through our innovative programs, students gain a solid understanding of interdisciplinary design, marketing principles, and the technical aspects of media and engineering. They also benefit from mentorship, field trips, and exposure to real-world applications of their learning.
